Last Sunday I spent probably what will be my last day in San Francisco City (on this trip) and had another amazing day......
First Hot Dog with sauerkraut(just can't beat processed meat from a mobile stand) to start the day.... then..
To Presidio, which is the national conservation area surrounding the Golden Gate Park. The view here is quite incredible with the back drop of the Bridge to make that scene just so San Francisco memorable.
No matter how many times I see that bridge,no matter what the weather, blue skies or that famous sea fog they get here it always just seems so familiar so welcoming. A view I would never tire of. This area is really wonderful to walk around and be sure if you get here you go to the other side of the bridge and walk around the seaview cliffs, past the old batterys and down to the beach....if you have some time on your hands.

...but remember if you walk towards the bridge along the beach you will have to walk back the way you came as there is no way back up to the pathway this way. Unless of course you scale the cliff face, in your bare feet, with the only safety net being a very strong (subtext: buff) and helpful(subtext: looking at my butt) man behind you reassuring and conning/convincing the fear that you feel is pointless and that you are not going to plummet to your untimely death.
After facing near death (no drama here :))it was a quick drive to Golden Gate Park, which you would think would be right near the bridge right? Wrong.. Walked through the rose garden and the De Young Museum, which I wish I'd had the time/money/inclination to visit as they currently have a 'Birth of Impressionism' exhibit on. Then on to the Japanese Tea Gardens for a nice cup of green tea and some fortune cookies, most of which ironically told me that I'd be 'going to a hot sunshiney place'.
Then it was off to Chinatown for some dinner...the choice of restaurants is huge here, so my recommendation is not to go there starving and just walk into the first restaurant you happen upon.
'San Francisco Chinatown is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia'
