Buddhism, grumpy nuns and hot weather in Winter

Today it was off to the Chenrezig Institute, which is just down the road from where I'm staying with my friend in Eudlo.  I say 'just down the road' realising that this means something different, mostly depending on where you're living in this world. People just don't like walking anywhere anymore....but I always do this go off on a tangent (the red wine helps).

So this place in the middle of the bush/forest in the mountains is quite beautiful, lovely view, nice cafe, great gift shop, but that's not what its about so we (Paula and I) walked around the various iconic figures and temples. smiled at some grumpy nuns and journeyed through 'the garden of enlightment'.  Did we become enlightened? You ask on the edge of your seat...did they push out the darkness that is the anti-Mel? (no hang on that'd be the goodness, now I'm getting confused)

Cue: internal voices...{I hate it when people talk in the third person, it's one of my pet hates. e.g. 'John likes small ladies' said by John aaaggghhhh.  Melissa fucking hates this and it makes her want to kill people.} Back to regular programming.

They're Buddhist not magicians guys...lets just reign it in a bit there hey... Anyway it was another gorgeous day here, blue skies, hot sunshine, I almost couldn't believe it was Winter here, walking back up the hill in my vest/singlet top gasping for water.

I was thinking about going into my organised religion rant as you all would well expect me to do....short summary;  disproportionate accumulation of wealth, too much connection to the state, patriarchal institutions ect. ect., that's just a taster for you lot.  Although I am thinking about starting a cult and currently looking for an extremely charismatic leader to employ in the P.R. role.  I'll do anything, almost anything to avoid going back to work after nearly 5 months... hee hee.

So after not reaching enlightenment but asking one crucial question to the universe that I am waiting for an answer on....no rush universe you got loads to think about....it was off home to climb up on the roof and clean out the guttering. (told you I had to earn my keep)  It was a great view from up there, no...not my builders crack emerging from my jeans, the view of the other mountains.  So what have we learnt from this blog kiddliewinks?

1. I would never make a good Buddhist due to their top 5 no nos. and I just don't look good in orange with my colouring.
2. I shouldn't drink a warming red wine before I start my blog cause I just get all 'I'll tell you something' (this is said in a slurry, pointy way)

Tomorrow I catch the train down to Brisbane for a couple of days to hang out with me Julie in the big smoke....can't wait!!!
