So had my generalisation, more than slightly sexist Wednesday rant, now I better tell you what I did.
So even though I was suffering what can only be discribed as a 'second day hangover'...if you're under 25 you won't understand what this feels like.
I headed out in to Seattle once again, via the monorail($4 rtn), where I sat up the front and pretended to be driving, no I will not grow up!!! Which took me directly into the Space Needle, which is not worth the $17 you pay for it, you can get better view elsewhere,(I will get to this later) then I went into the EMP and SciFi museum. $15 to see both, in the same building...

The EMP should be called the 'Jimmy Hendrix Project' to be honest cause it's just full of Jimmy this, Jimmy that, not that he wasn't a musical genius (drugs or not) but what about everyone else....who wasn't born in Seattle??? The building itself is supposed to represent a smashed guitar, and it really does but I couldn't get a picture of this from the Space Needle, cause I was too short innit. But I did get this image which I thought was pretty cool...----->

After this I trekked up what is probably the steepest street in Seattle, Queen Anne Avenue and saw the view best known from 'Frasier', (pic on right) this veiw is so much better than the sky needle, so even though it's not 360, trust me save your bucks and just walk up to Kerry Park and Betty Bowen Viewpoint and have a gander. Also the houses up here are amazing, huge, luxurious very expensive looking homes, you just got to go and see how they other half live. Then I had lunch here a very typical friendly American diner with great food. After a relatively healthy lunch (for me) I headed back down towards Lake Union. You can go kayaking here (I didn't) and get to go past Tom Hanks house from 'Sleepless in Seattle'....hmmmm.
As it was happy hour and as I hate to be rude, I went here for some cocktails and got talking to the very friendly bartender, a chef and a divorce lawyer...sounds like a joke doesn't it? An Aussie, a chef and a divorce lawyer are sitting at a bar the bartender says.....
I'd never met a divorce lawyer before, this is where it's my queue to say "yeah he wasn't what I expected", but how often do human beings really surprise you? So after catching the monorail back to my hostel I crashed....after watching the final episode of Supernatural...just love, love, love Sam and Dean Winchester. Now that I've cemented my loser status I'll go on to my next day....
Oh yeah I forgot, water fountains, they're bloody everywhere...what's up with that??
Oh yeah if you want to ask me to elaborate on places please feel free to ask, or if you want to tell me where to go...(nicely mind, not that down under, hot place that aint Australia)it's all welcome.
