Blue skies Smiling at me Nothing but blue skies Do I see, never saw the sun shining so bright....

So to be fair I did ask for sunshine.....

So another overnight train ride from Portland to San Francisco...the scenery was pretty damn amazing and guess what I saw a bloody moose!!!! Moose....woo woo, now ask me if I got a picture....nope no moose shots to be had I'm afraid. Reflexes like a cat, me.  Met some pretty amazing people on the train, a very cool, lovely couple originally from SF now living in Portland and the very intelligent Kristie who lives in Portland and was heading south to visit her ma.....

So after many and various conversations, great scenery, the worst wine I have ever drunk (and I will drink anything) and minimal sleep once again, I arrived in the very hot SF....

Had some time before I had to meet my friend so I thought I know what I'll do I'll get my hair cut and dyed....so after a few hours, much hair pulling I now successfully look like a bit like a goth...I did tell her the colour was too dark....(the colour of my soul ;)) especially for California :)sunshine and blondeness...

So after meeting my friends and being welcomed into their amazing home, we headed downtown to the local square for some Beatles renditions, good wine and some more of that damn sunshine.....it was homewards for an early night in the most comfortable bed I have slept in since I don't know when.

Today I woke up to more sunshine....it is hot here (thier hottest day so far) and I'm loving it, the jeans have officially been packed away. Yay....so headed down to the local farmers market and got me some fruit (but unfortunately not the cute boy behind the bakery counter), finally eating some healthy food (after a fry up ;))...Voodoo should be like Christmas...innit. Ended the day by watching my friend sing at a graduation party (bloody great), had some more wine, sat in the heat and discovered Astro Pops....

Tonight I'm going go downtown and have me some drinks and meet me some people.  It's definitely chill out time, I can't believe I'm nearly at the end of my exploration part of this U.S. section of my journey....it has just gone so fast....
