last day in Portland, hello...San Francisco...dress the way you please and put your mind at ease It's a city known for its freedom....

I am so excited about heading towards San Francisco.  Mostly because I get to see some close, amazing friends again and interact with people who know me really well, which I have missed a lot. Friends who I don't need to be so careful with what I say constantly(yes I actually do this ;))but additionally because I bloody love this city.

The people, the weather, the energy and the fact it's a big city and I do love me a big city.....but I will go on more about this city when I get there....and finally some time to chill out will be fabulous.

Last day in Portland today with more rain, I swear it's following me down the West coast.  Things I can guarantee, if I forget my waterproof jacket there is a 50/50 chance of rain, if I wear my trainers (that aren't waterproof) this percentage will increase by another 20 percent and finally if I straighten/dry my hair these odds are bumped up to nearly 100%.

Anyways ambled around this city of Portland again, got a bit lost but found this incredible, hidden little pathway that took me uphill towards the OHSU
This is why I'm all for walking in cities that you are visiting you get to see things and meet people you might not otherwise get to meet, also you have to work off those damn fine but evil Voodoo doughnuts....

This was yet another university with an amazing campus, the OHSU is connected to one of the most incredibly posh, lush hospitals I have ever seen.  This place is was like an art gallery...well they had art, sculptures and amazing gardens (but free :)).  The amount of cash that that was sunk into this place must've been phenomenal.

This is where I caught the free (supposed to cost $4 roundtrip) aerial tram from down to the waterfront.  If you go to Portland, you have to do this trip the view from here is pretty awesome...

I imagine it'd be even better if it wasn't pissing down.  Walked along the waterfront past the marina and decided to head over Hawthorne Bridge towards the OMSI,
which due to my lateness and my damn extreme cuteness I got a bit of an entry discount to visit. ;)

This was fun but again had to shove kids out of the way to get to play the games.  Some of the exhibits were very interesting...like did you know drinking alcohol, especially binge drinking is bad??? They also had that foetal development exhibit on display from the 'Bodies' exhibition which was interesting.  But reminded me of that 'fingernails' line from 'Juno'....sometimes I think of the weirdest things at the most random times. So took this fun pic...see I told you I run hot, but that could just be my kidneys and liver shutting down ;)
Then headed back to the hotel for an early night as tomorrow night, once again, I get the extreme enjoyment of not showering and sleeping in a comfort class, train seat woo woo!! On the upside, I get to see amazing views (Coast Starlight) on the way down the West coast, hang with my great friends and have chill out time in San Francisco.
It's not just a holiday it's a lifestyle choice ok...

one more thing...sunshine please...
