Monday in Vancouver....as I scrape the train filth off.....

So yesterday the scenery started changing yet again as we entered the Rocky Mountains, which I have to admit was pretty bloody impressive and boosted the mood of the train loads. This scenery was spectacular, there were many random bear sightings, I wasn't lucky enough although I did see a beaver or two.  To be honest though, my beaver shots aren't that impressive, I mean they could be any creature in the water pushing bits around.  Oh I saw a deer...but no moose.

Cue: endless Mountain pictures.

Stopped at Jasper and got half an hour to get off and walk around and re-fuel (me and the train)then back on the not so accurately named Comfort Class on the train.  I think after over three days sleep deprivation I couldn't do anything but just crash and sleep for most of night.

Pros for for trans Canada train travel on 'comfort class':

The people you meet are brilliant
The Scenery is some of the most breath taking I have ever seen
The food was good
You can say you did it
You can make fun of the wealthy

Cons for trans Canada train travelon 'comfort class':

No shower - unless you flash the cash
No bed - as above
The people you meet ;)are quirky
Everything costs so much, the food and especially the booze
You aren't wealthy

Tips: bring your own food, don't forget the baby wipes and breath deeply when tired or hungry but not too deeply so as to smell yourself or your fellow passengers.

So after an intense group conversation about the good and bad points of religion or any collective belief with a figure head to be fair....we pulled into Vancouver.  So I caught the skytrain to my hostel in Gastown and here I am writing to you lot and chilling and knowing full well that my first day in Vancouver will get used up by sleep, laundry and showering.

Tonight I meet some of the people that were on the train to have a little drinky poos....
