Honesty....is it the best policy...?

So I know I haven't started travelling yet(so this may be boring) but things are starting to come together, the room is slowly getting packed up, clothes and possessions are getting boxed up or handed over to charity.  I am attempting to shed my materialism but possession is an addiction what can I say?  I have two more weeks in my job and in London before I go down the coast for a month. Mostly to chill out organise my trip a bit more, but not too much...

I am trying to 'go with the flow' as much as I possibly can.

So I promise as of the end of April this will get a whole lot more interesting, pictures will go up and suitably cringy and funny stories, drunken escapades, and maybe some city, hotel and restaurant reviews...and of course as you would expect my usual sarcastic, scathing opinions on the human race in general.

You might even get a smattering of anthropological study in there..(for you Dave)

So as I'm new to this whole blogging thing I have some questions with how honest I can be on this...

I have had mixed opinions on this from mates who I have asked, honesty does make for more interesting reading and after all they are just my musings and opinions.  Also my thinking being that the people I meet on my travels will probably not know about this blog...(well until I get drunk and rant about it :))...then I'll just have to scurry away the next day as the sun rises, like I imagine one would after a one night stand.

Then there's the other side of hurting people's feelings, getting myself into trouble as this blog isn't really that anonymous being attached to my various social network type pages.

I could however look deep into my heart, use the logic that my brain possesses and make fair and balanced moral judgements on what I should and shouldn't say.....

....or not...(cue: evil cackles)

“He who is passionate and hasty, is generally honest; it is your cool dissembling hypocrite, of whom you should beware”

  1. Looking forward to the travel diary, tho' I hope you will keep up the twitter comments too. Always entertaining! Say hello to NYC for me. Been over a year since I was there, and probably will not get down there until the fall. Always seems odd to spend $350 a night on a hotel when I used to live there!
